Happy Labor Day/Happy Back-to-School to my Fellow Educators!

Labor Day is New Year’s day for the educational community. Life-long educators will tell you their circadian rhythm is set by this back-to-school milestone. The labor day demarcation is a literal and visceral end to the lazy days of summer. Some use this time to travel. Some educators catch on sleep, read, and enjoy unscheduled washroom breaks. Unfortunately for some teachers, the summer allows time to have a seasonal job, which provides much-needed a money for the lean days of the school year.

I extend my best wishes to all educators and administrators as they spend their last weekend of summer attending to the final details of their curriculum, classrooms and school offices so that every child and his/her family feels welcome to a wonderful 2018-19 school year.
